What Controls Low Point

What components of the swing directly contribute to the low point of the swing, or where the club meets the ground?

I searched the forum back pretty far and Brian's post and didn't find anything quite what I wanted, maybe I missed something.

Not much time and Brian would be best to give you a real thorough answer but...

Will start with:

Arms swinging from the shoulder sockets. (i.e. clock hands)

Wrists uncocking.

Force against the shaft. (affecting the latter)

Axis tilt.

"Run up"..."carry"...

From one of Brian's posts

Low Point control, basically is controlled by:

1. Plane Line

2. Hip slide

3. Upper Body rotation

4. "Carry"

5. Hand positioning, relative to the right elbow & the hip slide

6. Left Hand grip

7. Left Shoulder height

8. Right wrist uncocking and unbending (It uncocks FASTER than the left wrist)

9. Right Arm straightening

10. Hand Path relative to the body
