What exactly is low point?

How do guys define a low point? In the other thread that got revamped someone asked about how club moves before and after low point.

Since the COG of the club(head) pretty much aligns w/ the grip part of the club, there will be droop and forward bend. The latter being much more pronounced w/ a driver. This gives us a dynamic complication where center-of-gravity can go downwards, while the bottom of the clubhead is inclined upwards. Like making a nominal 8* face angle approach the ball w/ effective angle of 12*.

So - when you talk about lowpoint, what does it mean? Front edge, COG, bottomplate or what?

I think of it as when my left arm is perpendicular to the ground, with a flat left wrist, which basically is below the left shoulder

Sorry Vaako, trying again.

What exactly is low point?

The lowest the clubhead gets in the stroke.

To the ground. It may be UNDER the ground—that's why there are divots.

I use it, and manipulate it, ALL DAY every day on my lesson tee.

The easiest way to move it up and back is with the plane line.

Thanks Brian,

I'll give this thread a few days to pick up momentum. If it doesn't, I'll post a few lines about what I'm aiming at. Nothing earth shattering, mind you.
