I would say there are 2 schools of thought here.
1. Clubhead moves first and all the rest of the body reacts to the "pull" of the club. The club / hands arrive at the "top' / end" at the same time the body finishes the pivot.
2. Pivot powered backswing - the club is slung into motion by the motion of the pivot (lagging clubhead) and the pivot completes before the hands/club assembly reaches the 'top / end'. One would have to wait and then 'catch' the hands/club assembly with the beginning of the downswing motion.
Comparing the 2, is there any advantage of one over the other for distance or accuracy?
At what point if you use #2 does it become difficult to hit little chips and pitches?
Thanks - Bruce
