What is up with Woods???

I have been working on takeaway, flat left wrist, pivot and have been getting some excellent compression on all irons.........it is the best I have ever hit it. Driver and 3-wood are an issue. I am taking the club away and pivoting the same as with irons, but I either hit a big push or overcorrect and pull the ball on the next tee shot.

When will I start hitting the woods as sweet as I am hitting the irons??????
Are there any adjustments I need to make for these longer clubs?

This tells you my problem: Last weekend, 5/14 fws:mad: , and 12/18 greens.

Hmmmmm.....

Sounds like you are BELOW THE PLANE WITH the woods.

Now, why would someone who is NOT BELOW PLANE with irons, suddenly be BELOW PLANE with the woods.

Simple.

The "go down and get it" attitude that most good players have with irons—because of the differnet plane angle and the added loft—usually KEEPS the golfer from getting below plane with the irons.

The solution:

Down and left, down and left!

Make sure that the club SWINGS left just after impact and the CLUBFACE turns TOWARD the ground.
