Kevin,

How do Trackman justify their 'maintenance' fee?
Seems that for the price they charge, they shouldn't need to charge a maintenance fee, or is the product prone to breaking down?

I didnt check orlando, but there is one, like 2 mins from my house. any one on here ever hear of "JIM PEARCE
P.G.A. PROFESSIONAL" in tampa fl?

he is the one with the trackman... just wondering.

Wouldn't the price be whatever the market will bear? Typical decision by seller. Do I want a lower price per hour and more hours sold, or a higher price and less hours sold? Nothing new here. Pricing is a challenge.

Annual maintenance fees for software related products are not well understood by most people. I have a self-developed software product installed in manufacturing plants in my industry. After they buy the product and pay to have me install it, they agree to pay me an annual support fee.
No pay, no support, product will eventually have a problem and they will need me. They don't like it, but the reason is very simple. Limited market. I need to stay in business and my customers need me to stay in business. The Market for Trackman is limited, and they need to stay in business. That's it in a nutshell.

The price I was quoted here was $100.00 an hour. That's just a guy standing there giving me numbers. That is NOT including a lesson.

However, the guy that runs the Trackman gives lessons and if you buy a lesson package of varying expense, depending on the number of lessons, it looks to be cheaper. But, the guy isn't a Class A, or as far as I can tell, a class anything.

A driver fitting is $100.00
Complete bag excluding driver $125.00

For those of you fortunate enough to have worked on these two data collectors, the information is priceless if you have a teacher who can interpret the data and apply it to your swing or putting stroke. If you are able to interpret the data yourself, you may never need another lesson again. The best is always worth more!!:) If you pay $1.00 for bad info you still got ripped off.
