Trackman Handheld.

The way electronics changes it will include a phone and an MP3 player. Plus you will be able to use it to track your shots in real time on google earth.

If you had told any of us 15 years ago that there would be a device the size of a deck of cards that held thousands of songs and full length movies we would have told you that you were nuts. Or is that just me?

Floodlit golf

Golf course made with a realistic artificial surface

Back in the 70s long before I took up the game of golf, one of the Sunol golf courses in Sunol, CA was lit for night play. When the energy crisis hit, they no longer offered night play and the lights were removed.

Artifical golf course

I believe there is a golf course in Texas that has artificial turf. perhaps around Austin or Houston. This was a topic of discussion at one of our greens committee meetings a few years ago.

There is a course just north of Columbus, OH that has artificial greens and tees and according to them they can vary the speeds of the greens.

Feeling old. I have actually played night golf. Would have been around 1974 in Longbeach, CA. Fully lit, may have been an executive length course. I was down there on business for a few weeks. Really strange playing golf at 11 PM.
