After following Brian's articles and working on other aspect's from my copy of TGM I'm really starting to benefit from the work I'm putting in. My drives at the moment are getting longer all the time (about 250 meters/270 yards) with very little swing effort. However, at the moment they are hard to trust and keep straight.

My question is, where should I be concentrating my efforts on (in TGM terms) if I am getting the following ball flight's with my driver:
  • If the ball is at my left armpit (I'm right handed) my shot starts straight</u> and then moves left</u> about 15 meters. :(
[*]If the ball is just forward of center, my shot starts right</u> and then move's left</u>, ending up about 5-10 meters left of my target line. :)
[*]Every now and then, with the ball just forward of center, my shot starts right</u> and stays dead straight</u> ending up about 50 meters right of my target and on the next fairway. :(

Feedback from anyone would be great, thanks.

Check your grip . I moved the ball left and suffered from a hook from time to time until I changed it to the one Brian suggested in his Grip article

Pic 3 is the give-away . In my case in my former grip the clubface did not match the back of the left hand but was closed and the toe of the club was pointed to the sky a bit. When I fixed the grip my shots went straighter and the hard left to right shape disappeared.

Thanks for the response hue, but I'm already using the grip Brian suggests in his article. In fact, I've followed all of Brian's articles. btw, I wasn't a slicer before, I used to hook the ball before too using a strong grip????? I can't get myself on video at the moment so I'm a little lost. :(

geoffb,

Thats the one you want and all you have to do now is to hit the ball in the "aft rear quadrant" (left buttock), not on its arsehole .
