Who is a swing/hitter?

Agree with Brian, would add...

A lot of them will be hitters with the mid to short irons, Swingers with the woods, speciality shots they will change.

I don't believe any of them are a pure Hitter or pure Swinger, but a dominant factor would show up as I described above.

Hogan is a pure swinger and his motion is pure drag loading.

Els is a swinger.
Mickelson is a swinger.
Love is a swinger.
Nicklaus-debateable with tendencies of both but I am still leaning to swinging.

All of the above are 4 barrell players, which can make things a bit clouded, but I would say they are definitely swinging.

I watched Els at the Open and he looks like a swinger to me. On the practice day Love, Mickelson, Couples and Ricky Barnes were playing together. Barnes looked the only hitter of the bunch. My playing partner says that Rifle shafts suit swingers and Dynamic Gold is more suited to a hitting action. els has rifles in his irons. Is there any truth in my friends theory?

Was it Hogan that said he wished he had 3 right hands to hit with?

Yep he said it. Hence, 4 barrell. Remember, we are talking TGM terms and the way the shaft is loaded - pull or push, and Hogan was definitely a drag loader.

How about you - are you a bit of both ?...hmmm if you know what I mean...
No one needs any more proof that you are an idiot Em, so why do you persist in providing it.

After reading Norwood ( he uses Ben a lot as examples, but doesnt everyone?),
He expalined Hogan as have the best holding ability of anyone he has seen. That is the ability to hold the lead arm radius and hit strongly with the rear arm.
I cannot tell if one is a hitter or swinger, but im sure you are correct in that Hogan used 4 barrel power.
