I love betting on golf because of the big odds and high gain.....

My picks that I am toying with...

Charles Howell III at 80/1
Jerry Kelly at 125/1
Rich Beem at 200/1
Justin Rose at 200/1
Olazabal at 200/1

and maybe for a real miracle shot I might put a minimum bet of 50p on seve at 1000/1....lol

I think Duval should be alot higher odds as many that have a MUCH better chance of winning are placed higher than he is....

Chad Campbell... I think he'll get a major this year. Heck, for that matter, Michael Campbell too (he needs to play more in the states)

I like Chad too. Where is John Daly? Has he got a chance to get in the field? I can see him doing very well if he does.

As long shots I like Haas, Hoch and Maggert (beautiful swing)

I think its VJ's win.

How the heck did Lawrie get at 150 with all those good golfers? Des Smyth is better then Paulie.

I watched Maggert on Playing Lessons with the Pros the other night. I have always liked that guy and his swing. Plus, he's from Texas, so I will naturally root for him.

He has a shot tomorrow too at the Nisson. I only hope ABC shows him play. I hate when they only show the guys they like.

If I knew nothing about golf, I would have figured Texas to be the last place great golfers hail from. I know better, of course.

Yeah, I wouldnt think Texas would be a hotbed for great golfers either. Been some good ones come from here. I just wish it had rubbed off on me some. I even live a block away from the church that Mark Brooks grew up in, still doesnt help! Actually, my wife went to high school with Brooks. Said he was a complete arse. Even here in North Texas, we have some decent weather for golf. Feb is about the only month that I cannot go out and play. Of course from the middle of July till the middle of September it can be like a furnace. So, we get a lot of time to go out and play.

Yeah, I met Brookie on assignment a few times. He is "the" ARSE. I enjoy working with the PGA, after doing the NBA for years, it feels like I'm working with choir boys. But Brooks is in a league of his own. He is more baseball then golf. And don't let anybody tell you Hoch is a bad guy, he isn't. Now, Karrie Webb is a different story, lol. She hates me. Aussies never forget. LOL. I see her every year at the McDonalds, and every year I walk on eggshells around her.

Lets go Maggert win the Nisson !

I have always liked Hoch. Of all the players out there, I would think he is about as much a common man type as there is. He doesnt have the looks, or the prototype swing either. Shoots straight from the hip it seems.
