Hi Brian,
I posted a video a few weeks ago on why this player has no distance.
Unfortunatly you never replied.
Well this guy has been doing a lot of work on his pivot, and has added some lag to his down swing and is starting to get some real distance.
Will post a new video in a few days.
I think you will be impressed:
Langer.

The guy in question needs to get some momentum and swing harder, jeez, he looks like he's barely swatting a fly.
Tell him to go ahead and take a rip at the ball.

Get him to +2.

...?

You're a guy who's always talking about playing a power game s-m...no?

Whats your handicap?
If you have not already seen the game is all about power now.
I bet my man against you any time, and he has been down to + 3 when he was younger.

I guess getting longer will allow him to hit shorter clubs into greens, and have shorter putts...

I'm actually backing off on my distance craze this year for the straight ball. I want to play every shot from the middle of the fairway with 70% accuracy. NO fades or draws! I'm working on a new pattern that sails the ball straight, but with the consequence of less power:( I want to destroy my competition in a leisurely carefree manner.

The problem now is that in most of the big competions the courses are getting over 7000 yards, so distance is a big factor, and a lot of the younger players are very long hitters.
When i played tournaments the courses where between 6500 - 6800.
The game has changed alot in the last 10 years, so i can understand why this player wants more distance and why not if he can.
I thought Brian started this forum to help players get better, and getting longer can help, i know that you have to keep it in play to, but just look at TIGER.

By less power I mean detuning to around 285 always in the middle. I'm not convinced that power is the end-all-be-all of golf. I will concede that the long ball takes stress off of your approach game, and may allow for shorter putts.

The WHY.

This chap has NO Kinetic Chain snap, doesn't maintain his axis tilt long enough, and has a moving center.

(These are overlapping ideas, of course).

just how can you tell from your eyes that there's no kinetic chain snap?

his center (I'm guessing you're referring to the point between shoulders) might be moving, but it doesn't look like it's moving too much. And even if it does, I don't see how it can cause that much distance loss.
