why has this player got no distance

swing is pretty short, and he has not much forward lean. looks like barely a 3/4 swing, s cant expect to hit it that far. i can see how he plays real well, as that sorta swings alows good players to shape their swings to match the shot they want

Well he's got a short backswing.....but I know I do too.

Is that as far as he can take er back tho?

Something I see is telling me he is using his hands to move his hands also.

For one.....to me, he doesn't have much "left shoulder up" (OOOMMPH) through and past impact. (reminds me of Faldo)

i.e. he may need to work with his pivot more to snap the chain better. (more throwout action)

"Wallop the ball with your pivot."

I play with a guy that swings very similar. I tell him when he complains about his lack of distance to quit trying to "swing the handle" and learn to "wallop the ball with your pivot"!

Does he want to hit it harder?

He has an excellent action. He doesn't look like he want to bust it. I bet he could, he'd just loose his control.

No matter how much I would like to beat Carl Lewis in the 100 yard dash, I'm not going to do it. Not wired for it.
