Why not Mchatton

Hey guys, I am just getting back in the game after about a 10 month layoff. My handicap has always stay right around scratch. Before my layoff I had a couple lesson with Gregg Mchatton and really enjoyed them. I really want to make this year my best year on the course and was wondering if anybody has anything negative to say about Greggs teaching. I really need a lot of work on my short game and putting. I don't know any guys in my area that have really worked with Gregg. I know he is highly regarded amongst his peers. Any suggestions.

He is a stand up guy, obviously very bright on the golf swing. Would love to get his take on some of the stuff in this forum. He should go to the GTE. It's in Vegas and he is usually of Mon and Tues:). Would be great addition to the group of minds assembled.

Where is he teaching now?

Steve

Literally, I got laid off from work, then when I got a new job the hours were not golfer friendly. Now I am in a spot where I can start playing a little more. I played last weekend for the first time in a loooooong time. I am gonna try to practice tomorrow and tee it up on Sunday.

I learned a lot. I was pretty much self taught. Well until about a year before going to see Gregg. Then while I was trying to get my game to the next level I went to a lot of instructors in Southern California trying to find the right fit. With Gregg we mostly worked on acquired motion and pivot. First lesson was just getting me to loosen my hands and wrist up enough to let the club hinge properly. Then pretty much impact, impact, impact. My body would tend to stall through impact as well and we spent a lot of time trying to get me to keep turning through the ball.
Here is a link to my swing about 3 lessons in I think. Still had a lot of work to do.

Not bash him. I just want to know people thoughts about him. It is a pretty good drive for me to get to him, I am just curious if anyone has any experience with him. If they think he is capable of helping me turn my 73's and 74's into 69's and 70's.
