Backswing speed and float loading

In a constant effort to have a trailing clubhead, I think I developed a quick tempo so that my startdown began before my clubhead reached the top. However, I now believe that that fast clubhead momemtum going back to the top caused the base of my neck to follow the clubhead and reverse back toward the target. Apparently, I was getting a great deal of 'shaft bending' at the top of the swing, but I lost it on the way down. I notice some tour players take it to the top and almost stop so that there's no great shaft bending at transition. What are your thoughts on this backswing tempo issue?

Change directions at a speed where you can maintain lag pressure from the top through the ball to both arms straight. If you have problems doing it fast slow down. No point in creating excesive lag pressure at the top only to rebound and lose it half way down.
