If your last name rhymes (even sort of) with "golf ball" and you win multiple major championship tornaments, you will suffer a complete unexplained meltdown. It's the rhyming curse. It happened to Ralph Guldahl [sic, can't remember the spelling]-- back to back US Opens, a Masters or two, and never broke 80 again.

My last name rhymes with golf ball--that's how I figured it out-- but fortunately I've never won multiple major tournaments.
