End vs. Top

In TGM there is a difference in positions of the hands at End and Top. Is there ever an advantage to taking the backswing to End when the Straight Line Delivery starts at Top? It seems to me that taking the hands to End just promotes Club head throwaway and loss of Lag. Any thoughts?

Tell that to the 99.9% of touring professionals and hall of famers who go to the end position on all their wood shots.

its the loading of the shaft that matters, swinging involves a rotated number 3 pressure point, while hitting keeps the pressure on the side of the knuckle, so it would depend on if your hitting or swinging

Swingers loads the left wrist - for a hitter no need to go to the top they load the right elbow.
