What is difference between "twist away" and the various hindge positions..........

seems as if when twisting away one would be increasing the possibly of going from vertical hindging to horizontal at impact......

thanks

twist away, on its own, isn't really directly coresponding to any of the hinge actions, you can still use any of them with it. That said, using it to 'hold the twist' can give the 'feel' of reverse roll - because of the right shoulder position it tends to promote, at least that is my experience with it. You can 'go low' and get to a Trevino move, or less axis tilt and go with more of a horizontal hinge. The key is really the flat left wrist and on plane sweet spot in either case.

Would you agree Brian?

The twist away goes with a vertical hinge. Swingers have a roll feel with their horizontal hinge...their backswing has a turn to match the roll. A hitter has a no roll feel with their angled hinge...their backswing feels like no roll. Doing a twist away move goes with the reverse roll through the shot. However, it doesn't have to.

eh......mg......nope.

It is one of the very best of BRIAN MANZELLA's M-80 fixes.

That is: It is DESIGNED TO Blow Up a poor motion and replace it with an "over-learned" correct motion which can then be easily "put back right."

;)!
