Greg Mchatton Golf Swing

Still one of the most gorgeous golf swings ever. Syrupy smooth, and makes it look like he's swinging a garden hose instead of a golf club. Plenty of lct and float loading? What else makes it so distinctive?

I love that the lct and float load in that swing. When I am swinging well I feel as I am swinging similarly although it doesn't look like it. I wonder how far he hits the ball?

Who took this Video clip?

Any one know where this clip came from? Who shot it? Where was this shot at?

McHatton's swing is exactly what I want to emulate. On good days I think it is close, when I trust that the clubhead is actually going to hit the ball and I keep a nice tempo. On bad days, watch out LOL! I have hit some shots with this swing that are the purest I have EVER produced, and I played my lowest round at my current course with it. Needless to say I went off tinkering, but I am back to it, and am determined to commit to it for the summer.
For those who swing this way, do you do it for shots that are less than a full swing? Also, I need to work on hitting a nice low windcheater with this swing, any tips would be appreciated.
I have downloaded this swing and watch it on loop as often as possible, just soaking up the rhythm.

You have a PM waiting.

since greg is hitting a six iron, does it seem his ball position is just barely left of center? does this seem somewhat closer to center than what brian or ben doyle prefers?

I am a PGA instructor at Angel Park in Las Vegas, and my first teacher and mentor was "the Hat". After a lot of exposure to a lot of golf instruction methods and swing theory, I still believe Greg to be the best. In my own teaching I still return to the things I learned from Greg. He instilled in me the importance of relaxed small muscles. We want the golf club to move the hands and wrists, not the hands and wrists to move the club. He's the best.

You should now go on Greg's site and tell everyone Brian is the best.

Welcome to the site Tom; while Brian thinks highly of "The Hat" as well, to come to a website of another instructor and claim him the best smacks as a bit rude. I hope you will hang around and participate in future discussions.

Thanks.
