Martin Kaymer - World Class

I personally love his swing. He seems to hit just a little cut on just about everything. Great swing, and this year's PGA won't be his last major. At the very least we shouldn't expect it to be.

What do you guys think?

To me he's a good example of someone who really benefits from being "across the line" with the relatively late completion of his backswing shoulder turn--otherwise his VSP would probably be too steep and his path to out to in. Kaymer mixes his backswing and downswing shoulder tilts and rotations well. For a non-optimum example of mixing watch Pat Perez starting at 1:05:

Here's Kaymer workin his usual fade:

All you video gearhead types should realize that once scienific-based Project 1.68 comes to fruition and is fully published, all of your masturbating over tour pro swings is gonezo ... wanna bet ..??!!!

You are ridiculous.

How about, for fun, you post up your swing for us all to see?

Was he nervous or is there something in his move that makes him susceptible to this (1:13 to 3:25)?:

Hooking his draws and slicing his fades--is he too steep? Could also be susceptible to nerves too! Sorry for not being clear earlier.

I would say that his nerves probably have zero to do with it. Let's not forget that the last major championship that was played, he won. I'd say he's got his nerves pretty well under control.

My guess is that he more than likely was trying to REALLY curve one for the show. Who knows what the director or Michael Breed asked him to do before they shot the segment.

I'm thinking that he has a pretty good amount of control over his ball-flight on the course.
