I think he might be trying to ask which are the advantages of:

less swing speed, more smash factor (mass,more thrust)

more swing speed, less smash factor (more velocity)

As a TGMer, we should understand that any accumulator may overlap or replace its preceding number but cannot percede it. Increase overlap to increase Thrust, decrease overlap to increase Velocity.

As Jim is saying that Velocity get us more speed - that is good, as we can hit it further.

Now what is the advantage of having more smash factor? What is the precise meaning of smash factor?

smash factor is a measurement of swing speed to ball speed.

1.5 is considered "ideal" however i have witnessed hitters on the launch monitor achieve higher than that due to the amount of effective mass they are using on the club. However most mass increases are relative to a small decrease in swing speed so "potentially" there is no advantage.

All THRUST is cross line first and foremost . . . I would say thrust is more about the amount of Lag Pressure that you load into your pressure points . . . You can increase the pressure by loading them "sharper." This ain't about swinging faster though. Remember the hands and the club don't get "whipped around aimlessly." Load up the lag and the stay ahead of it with your pivot. If you want more thrust . . . load it sharper with your change of direction . . . or just "throw" the clubhead back against the #3 pressure point harder.

Also remember velocity also has to do with MASS . . . and as a result you want to make sure that your left wrist is flat AND you get full lever extension. You can definitely get speed by flipping the club past your hands but what you don't get is MASS of laying the FULL PRIMARY LEVER ASSEMBLY on the rock.
