Check out the values for club head speed and ball speed at the end of the clip.

Either the club head speed is exaggerated or he has a terrible conversion ratio (1.338).

Hard to tell, depends on what monitor they were using. A lot of monitors only measure ball speed and "calculate" swing speed.

I think he hit it in the right rough on that shot (not that I can tell from impact hehehe) I remember watching that live and it was a mis hit that did not find the fairway

Adding to what Jim said, if he was hitting a cut, he'd lose some ball speed in relation to his clubhead speed, all else being equal. He also hit the ball a little higher on the face. While that can improve spin rate and launch angle, it will also cost some ball speed, as opposed to hitting the ball closer to the center of the face.

Not necessarily true. Driver's are being built to skirt the USGA regulations by placing the sweet spot (spring effect) higher in the face (the USGA tests middle of the face).

Sweet spot or hot spot? The so-called "hot spot", where you would get the advantage of lower spin and higher launch, has moved higher; maybe the sweet spot, too. But they're not the same thing, as I understand it. One of the selling points of the cleveland hibore was that it moved the hot spot closer to the sweet spot, if I'm not mistaken.
