Help with Dropping into the slot on the down swing

Hi Guy's
I am looking for some drills and or swing thoughts to help with dropping into the slot.
At the top of my swing I come right back down the same plane and I have been working on trying to get my club to fall behind just a bit.
Now I know most of you would say hey I would love to be coming down on plane but for the last 16 years as a pro I have alway dropped the hands and about a year ago I had a shoulder injury and when it was healed and I got back playing I noticed that after practicing on a explainer that the drop had gone.
Also some times I come over the top during the swing as well so I feel that if I find a good drill I will get the old swing back.
Any help would be great.
Thanks guys
Addam

It sounds like you have simply switched your downswing plane angle, not something necessarily that is bad. I would only try and go back to the shift if you find you hit it better.

Thanks Jim
The only difference is it is much easier to hit a fade as a stock shot now then a draw.
I really want to get the drop back as I was playing really well with it.
Can you give me any drills to help reverse this action please,
Thanks mate

You need to learn how to let the club drop more before you pivot. It will feel like you might get "stuck" but you probably wont

The best I have found is Brian's "fiddle drill" in video Flipper.

Hi Guys
I have to let you know,
I read here on the forum something that really helped me with my downswing. One of you wonderful members said on another post that instead of thinking about taking the right shoulder to the ball take the left shoulder up as you are swinging down, well what a difference this made and I am dropping back into the slot again,I also found this in one of Faldos Books as well.
I really feel that one can end up over doing the right shoulder and forget about the left one.
Just thought I would share this.
Thanks guys
