what would you expect out of compression when you play it in snow?

How deep are we talking here? If it's just a couple inches (and the ball isn't buried) I'd expect it to be like hitting a fairway bunker shot. Picking it clean off the snow should create the same compression factor as picking it clean off any other surface.

I hope you have access to some dark colored golf balls! A pro v will be as hard to see as a raven in the night sky.

hahahaha hta'ts true. Yeah i got a black ball. I feel like they dun really go as far tho.
 
I always do it in the spring when the snow melts and there are grass patches.

I hit a few shots from the snow banks and it can be somewhat like hitting from a bunker........but from what I can tell I don't think the snow moves the ball as well as sand.
