Head behind ball

Hi;

Any tips on keeping head behind the ball..?

Played today, when I did keep it there perfect shots, felt good looked good !

when I didnt, sad shots, divots going left.


Am I getting into a position where I cant keep it behind or am I just forgetting to do so..?

HaHa. Clubface. Open clubfacers tend to move the head forward and the right shoulder high.

I didn't know this...I'm pretty sure I suffer from a high right shoulder. Seems like everything that is wrong with my swing ties back to an open clubface and a poor pivot.

your swing center is basically an inch or so forward (inside your body) from the 7th cervical bone (C7) in the back of your neck (the big bone that sticks out at the top of your spine)..
Forget your head movement and try focussing on keeping that (C7) stable until after inpact (its position will change roughly when your arms get horizontal on the follow through)....

As I dont often do it, does it need to be practised ? As unwinding from the top seems to be my usual shot.
