In my follow through my left heel will spin back towards me but my toes stay in place.
Does anybody have a idea why I am doing this?

I do this action so violent my shoe came apart!

I'm no expert but it sounds like your weight may be on the balls of your feet. Do you have balance issue at the finish of the swing?

Brian Manzella quote:

"The action that allows someone to "stay in their posture" (a phrase a do not like) is the shifting of their center-of-gravity toward the left heel.

Their is simply no way a golfer performing a late "fit in" move, or any other shift toward the ball of the left foot, can stay bent toward the target line.

They would fall down.

So, as always, the answer is fixing the root cause of NOT getting to the left heel. And they are many, but easily fixed."

Back in the day this was called spinning out, but it was typically around the left heel. Obviously, in order for your foot to rotate it must be either around the heel or the ball of your lead foot. Can't be both.

So you need a little, or a lot, less speed in your hip rotation.

I, with great certainty, recall some sequential photos of Ernie Els where around impact he was up on the ball of his left foot with the heel moving back away from the target. This was written up in the description.

jerry, you could try extending your left leg earlier in the downswing, which should move more weight to your left heel....

Talk about swinging out of your shoes!!!!
Here's a drill that I think will help you: At address raise your toes slightly, focus your weight on the INSIDES of your feet and take several practice swings. Your feet should feel like suction cups.

Do you fight a pull sometimes because of this? I tend to do the same thing, I swing hard ( although it doesn't seem hard to me, just everyone tells me that ) and I tend to pull the ball, mostly with my irons. I played Friday & Saturday, and had a good ( for me ) ball striking round. Hit quite a few fairways, which isn't something I do alot, but it seemed like every iron I hit was a pull, and would find a hazard or O.B. Frustrating::mad:

Kevin / Brian / Jim / anyone!

A question for you regarding these pulls - could my equipment be a problem? I have regular shaft graphite Adams AS03 Irons ( easier on my joints ) My driver speed is 95 - 97, and I have a short backswing and quick tempo. Possibly too much flex and offset? Just a thought...
