What do you do for good players that don't get the lower body out of the way or rotate the hips through impact. A buddy has zero movement with his hips through the ball yet is a very good player, plus cap. what type of swing benifits him the most

Theoretical question only?

The one he is using would be my best guess.

Too many things go down the gurgler when people try to fix what isn't broken.

Does your 'good player' buddy have a loose belly by any chance ... because that also causes the hips to 'block' in the backswing and downswing too?

Another condition would be the alignment of the knees .. bow-legged or knock-kneed .. because that will defeat hip rotation too?

Then there is the condition of his hip joints too. Did he suffer from Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis in his childhood, because that can affect the hip joint mobility in adulthood. Of course, he could also be suffering from hip joint arthritis due to overuse trauma. Did he always swing without hip joint flexibility??

Also, what is his height, weight and shoe size .. because it could just be a balance problem in his inner ears!!!

Also, you should classify his body genotype and optimal golfswing according to LAWs of the Golfswing - Adams, etal.

Now see what you have done!

No real, everyone wants to be better,
Understood but.............................

Nothing but drivel emanating above. And, any meaningful suggestion is likely to have minimal to no effect on a plus cap anyway.

He got to plus by honing his skills within his physical characteristics. Changing those is no guarantee to scoring improvement.

Would you try to "fix" Jim Furyk?
