Garrius busting grapes

I was watching the golf on the weekend and Sir Nick did a swing analyzes on Garrius. Sir Nick might have been a good player but the babble that was coming out of his mouth was crazy. One silly thing after another. He couldnt understand how Garrius could hit the ball with such a short swing compared to Dustin Johnson and Jamie Sadlowski. Anyways, you could really see the weight go down into the ground in his left foot and how he was able to push up to create tremendous power. Those highspeed cameras are pretty awesome.

Just for the sake of accuracy, I had to comment. I DVR'ed the bit from the 2nd round. It was a slo-mo ("Super G") off Robert's tee shot on 18. Faldo talked about Robert's early left arm rotation, Robert's conventional top position which Faldo said was shorter than Bubba or some guy he called "Jamie Sadkowski". Faldo did note that Robert, like other long bitters had high hands. Faldo then talked about the power Robert generated using his right leg, although the camera also showed the powerful contribution being made by his left leg (which was clearly "jumping"). Faldo also noted Robert's balanced finish. It wasn't as bad of an analysis as you're making it out as, with all due respect. Robert's swing is so athletic!

Are you guys talking about Robert GarriGus?

:)

Good swing though (presuming you are)...Brian did a thread on him a while back, with analysis I think.

Go Garrigus!

Or Byrd I guess. (Byrd seems a nice guy too)

But no....Garrigus.

I like both their swings...but Garrigus' swing is.....well......and isn't.....well...

...and he prolly swings lefter after losing last year (dunked one on 18th)...

Nice guy it seems....could use a win more?...signed some autographs....kissed a baby (his)...

Go prove Faldo wrong Big G.

We should make live threads when we watching tourneys...

Manzella Live Analysis.

Faldo is a legend...but also has his own style...

It will be interesting to see what happens.

Someone like Trevino would probably be more apt than a Faldo to chat it up during the wait, for example.

Just a small thing here...but also not...interesting.

Byrd does have a good swing.....a good pivot and a good swing...

Many people will really dig the flat, "Hoganish" armswing, I guess is what I briefly thought. That is to say- some seem eager to use players to validate their methods, and there is plenty of flat arm swing love out there.

Oh well. If it works, that's mostly all that matters.

Even if something can be misconstrued, over-taught, or whatever, it wouldn't be for long.

It's all good.

Byrd has a good swing.
