Right Arm Bending More than 90 Degrees

I have a habit of bending my right arm more than 90 degrees on the backswing. Is this a fault? If so, what's the remedy? The only "cure" I've seen in my thread searches is extensor action.

Too much right forearm pick-up, or bending the right elbow immediately on take-away. Maybe try some "up the wall" (check out NHA2.) With a straigher right arm in the initial stages of the backswing the right elbow does not bend until it is forced to...sorta like how extensor action works.

Right on

Insufficient pivot or over acceleration of the hands outracing the right side on the way back possibly

I would absolutely agree that it is most likely an insufficient backswing pivot to blame. You are trying to make it up by over bending the right elbow. The over acceleration is possible but I find this to be not as likely the cause.

Freddy Couples

Why is it necessarily a problem? Depending upon your swing it may or may not be an issue. Freddy does fine bending his right elbow well past 90 degrees.

What is thou willing to sacrifice fo ye game?

It is not a problem unless it is a problem. There are very few things that you cannot do and still play a decent game. You can do the same with bending the left arm as well and you probably would increase your swing speed......it comes down to what you are willing to sacrifice for increased speed.

I used to do that. Over-bent r arm, too open clubface. Elbow pointing way down at the top. Laid off. (I was trying to be Ben Hogan)

I was setup really upright with lots of weight on the heels.

Flipped it.
