Well...I guess I'm back

So.......all it took was about 1 year of decompressing from all golf and I've got the urge to play again. I didn't watch a single second of golf on TV or putt a single ball in my living room. My clubs were in the back bedroom closet and I didn't even vacume in there. I literally washed all the golf out of my system. I actually didn't think about golf once till Masters Week when someone at work asked me if I was watching. (I wasn't) But I tuned in to Sunday's final round and the competitive bug jumped out and bit me again. It felt like it was time to jump back in and see if I could still swim.

So, I'm scheduled to see Brian in the middle of May and see if I can get the game back in shape for the State Am season.

Anyway, to everyone that remembers me.....it's nice to be back. To those I haven't met yet...it's nice to meet you.

And to Brian.......I hope you're ready to go back to work. ;)

Well I for one am glad you are back. No surprise since I just checked in on you a couple of weeks ago or so. No get back to packing your lunch and eating out at the range! :)

Welcome back Steve, I hope all is well for you in the Hub.

Hey Josh!!

The Hub is fine. Dry as all get out. The whole state appears to be on fire. We've had no rain since last September and less than an inch of total moisture (counting the little bit of snow we got this winter) since August. It's so dry the dust seems wet. LOL!!

That said, the Rawls Course is in amazing shape. We got one of Troon's top agronomists to take over the course and he has worked some magic. They added some kind of "fertigation" system to the irrigation that treats the water (removes all the salt we have) and adds fertilizer to the water as it pumps it on the course. They have let the fairway grass grow up about a 1/4" higher and that took out all the roll you used to get. Now the course plays a lot closer to it's 7300 yards. I was told we are now the #4 rated University owned course in the nation which is pretty good company.

And even better, it looks like they will break ground on the new club house this fall. About time huh?

So yeah...things are good in the hub. I'm excited about playing again and life is good.

How about you? Is the game good?

As riveting as this is, shouldn't you be having this conversation privately?

As prescient as your observation is, I guess the moderators can delete my post if it violates the rules. I'm really sorry that you were forced by some powerful and undetectable force to spend the 4 or 5 seconds required to read my reply before realizing that you weren't interested in my conversation. I'm sure that your time is very precious and your keen intellect and crowded reading schedule deserves more stimulation and much better content than my post could muster.

Thank goodness we have non-moderators policing the forum and pointing out these egregious errors in forum etiquette. In the future I will strive with all my limited abilities to more closely observe your guidelines for my posting and hopefully my future contributions will meet with your standards of content and context.

Thanks again!!!
