D-Plane Aim Simplified

Sorry this may have been covered but I can't find it anyplace.

I watched Brian's D-Plane videos which were great by the way. Kinda explains why I am hooking the ball. I have been working real hard to get rid of my Over the Top move and I must be coming to far from the inside now.

Is there a "cheatsheet" or simple guidelines for aiming with different clubs? Maybe LW, 9I, 6I, 3I, 5W, Driver? Would Hogan's stance picture and ball position be accurate with the D-plane?

I started playing with a back ball position last week which has helped my ball contact but could effect the AOA. I play LW off my right foot, 5I center, and driver just inside my heel. Probably a band-aide but needed it until I get another lesson as my iron game was a mess!

Thanks!

The TUXEN METHOD:

Swing 2.4° —which is 4.2 yards per 100 yards— left on every shot off of the ground, and have PGA Tour average Angles of Attack.

Brian Manzella

Don't go bananas on the aiming left deal. It is a small adjustment, barely noticeable to the untrained eye.

Thanks! What about ball position with the open and closed stance? Is the Ben Hogen stance diagram correct? It appears the ball is about 1-2" inside the left heel.

Thanks

I am trying to get back to using that diagram......a teacher got me to set up square/parallel left all the time. Is it possible that "THE SECRET" of Hogan was that he discovered the D-plane?

Where in Columbus do you play/practice?
