Anyone doubting him would be crazy at this point, didn't Kyle Stanley just blow a lead and then follow it up with a win the next week. Is it that unthinkable to think that Tiger can play well for four days, I'm not ready to call him Lebron yet. Way too many wins under his belt.

Without being able to view the world from the other side of his eyes I have no idea if he is damaged or not. His swing is looking better to me and he looks like he is beginning to feel more comfortable. Who knows for sure where his head is at? Divorce has ruined some people.

I caught the last 5 or so holes at a bar..........no volume................I saw a look in Tiger's eye's that I have never seen before...................Shock.....................and Fear. He just doesn't have that supernatural power anymore. He's human. And he knows it.

Oh, and after 1 1/2 years of work with the new coach, all facets of his game are still not back to as strong as they were BEFORE the switch.

Not trying to be glib or sarcastic or threadjack here, but, if Tiger has toned down his sexual proclivities for the sake of rebulding his sponsor base, that could play absolute havoc with his system. I'm being very serious.

Tiger Woods hasn't putted like Tiger Woods for an extended period of time. Its more than a cold stretch. Not that he can't get "hot" on the greens for a week, but there is a huge difference between getting hot for a week and making every thing you look at for 10 years. Self doubt is a cruel drug.

I would agree with all of this, but I also believe in the human spirit, and the ability of the mind to overcome obstacles. He isn't afraid of losing the pro-am at Pebble. His focus is on majors, that's it. He reads everything about himself, he knows his career will be defined in terms of majors won, more or less than Jack, not winning pro-ams. He is playing with house money in every other tournament.

Now, that being said, he putted like he was one of the amateurs. I wish Nike would take a step back for their own good and let him win with the scotty cameron putter he won the last 13 majors with. Poor green reading, worse speed, and more importantly, the STROKE looks bad. IMO he can fix it though. I see more mechanical problems than mental ones.

I still don't know how Tiger plays a lick with his Charles-Barkley-like head dip. I mean I know you're suppose to get into your legs so that you can go normal but I don't see anyone dip like Tiger dips. That just can't be good for consistency.

The critics do not know what they are looking at.

Tiger plays pretty good "lowering".

Hogan, Nelson, and Snead "lowered" pretty good before BOOM!

PS The critics are looking at greatness.

You can add Trevino and Sergio Garcia to that list as well.

The "compressing" down on the transition is a great way to drop the plane back into the "pro slot" before going at the ball. You can just drop the arms and hands but that is powerless compared to the whole body drop.

Agree with the angle of attack problem. He is struggling with controlling his distance as well as spin.

Can we talk some more about his AoA problem?

We know that the steeper you get, the more left you need to swing....does the spin rate increase as well?

Too much spin will rob you of distance (i.e. ballooning)...varying spin rate will lead to inconsistent length...

How else are these connected?

I would say that inconsistent AoA's would lead to inconsistent "traj."

A little more axis tilt into impact? I don't think it's necessarily how he's done it before, but perhaps it would help.

Yeah, he only won 14 majors and 80-something tournaments "dipping". It can't be good. For every really good player you show me who doesn't dip, I'll show you 10 who do.

True, but it's also a good way to have to fit the club thru by pulling the handle, coming from underneath.

(pssst., hey guys, more arm swing, more go normal, keep the rest)

How would more arm swing help AoA issue (if that's what this would do)? What kind of golfing problems require adding more arm swing?

Ok...after thinking about this some more, you mean letting the left arm release off left side of chest, more like Phil or more like the Jack photos you just posted, right?

Just a couple of points...

Thru the first three days, Tiger averaged 30 putts per round. Yesterday he had 31. Phil had 26 putts on Sunday and beat Tiger by nine. Do the math. It's not just a putting problem.

The argument that Tiger only cares about Majors doesn't hold water either. He doesn't tee it up in an event unless he thinks he can win and expects to win. He also likes nothing more than beating Phil, including gamesmanship. Putting out every opportunity he gets so that the crowd starts heading to the next tee. Guess who putted out every opportunity HE had yesterday. Phil. In head-to-head match ups, Phil owns Tiger right now...oh, and Phil doesn't OWN that swing either.

Tiger very well has an AofA issue and SF may very well be working on that this morning, lighting up Trackman like a Christmas Tree. But no one, not SF or Tiger Woods can guarantee future success.

Golf doesn't owe anything to anyone and everyone is working hard this morning and they're all getting better.
