Impact position: the basics

At impact:
1. the club and the left arm should be in a straight line made possible by
2. the hands in front of the ball and
3. a flat left wrist at impact.

Are there any other fundamentals?

Here are seven others to consider.
4. The angle of attack
5. The Path at impact
6. To control the Path and Angle the Slot position must be managed at transition.
7. The Low Point control aided by pulling the handle Normal.
8. The Jump
9. Impact must be preceded with the hands passing the right thigh.
10. How there is a boost in parametric acceleration when all the above are exercised.

Why do you think these three are fundamentals ? They certainly are not. These are just possibilities.

The only fundamentals for impact are how the club should be for the selected shot. I agree with Dariusz, the things you mentioned are just possible ways of getting it done and certainly not fundamental to good impact, but could possibly be good for a ton of golfers.

No love for the sweet spot?

My thinking at the moment is all about is focused impact position, in an effort to get rid of a flip and the very high launch angle/ dynamic loft.

That's good enough for me. I suspect I am one of the ton.

I LOVE the sweetspot...I just haven't been to find it for a long time courtesy of 1) reverse pivot (all weight on left leg at top of BS); 2) underplane takeaway a with a corresponding over the top downswing, and the flip/ very high dynamic loft.

Reverse pivot and plane are much improved. Curing the flip and reducing the dynamic loft is a work in progress. BM has emphasized the need for my hands to be in front of ball at impact. In searching for that, I recognise that my club and left are create a straight line and my left wrist is straight.

The three fundamentals represent my current swing thoughts to curing the flip and reduce the dynamic loft.
