Does anyone subscribe to the theory of "Short Arms"?

Hi all,
As the title says. Im trying to sort out my hand path from going too much toward the ball, seems to help in keeping the hands closer to the body during the downswing. Feels like Im pulling the club in towards me like stabbing yourself in the stomach! Is there any validity in this move?

Thanks

Sounds good to me, and something you should be able to accomplish. As a fellow yorkshireman, you should already be well practiced at shortening your arms when putting your hand in your pocket :)

As a Yorkie myself, I resemble that remark! :D

sounds like the "alligator arms" of the Hardy one plane swing

Yep. The more one wants to subdue arms to the pivot the more humera are working with the pivot giving the feel of only forearms sticking out of the body. Just like Hogan showed here:

Was another instructors idea but the way of achieving it after the backswing was vastly different.

Cheers

I'd go a little lower than the stomach:)

Ill answer my own question. got it on video today, no difference really. Back to the drawing board!

If it feels different, you might be applying different (and more effective, perhaps) forces to the club, even if it doesn't look any different on video.
