Are you below plane or just below the plane you want to be on.
You may just be a single or double shifter, like Hogan, Nelson, Snead, Woods, etc.

On the turned shoulder plane to the top - I would like to stay on the turned shoulder plane going down.

If you shift, don't change it, just hone it.

Plane shifts have ZERO to do with inconsistency in ball striking. Plane line shifts—now you got a problem.
My advice is to straighten out your plane line and go on to the next thing.
