Face to face lessons - long travel time

I learn quicker than average, and by all accounts BM teaches quicker than most.

Given it will cost me more to go and see him (you) for some lessons than to actually pay for 10 hours of tuition, what is the most effective use of time to acquire new technique, but also embed it in one trip? It is the sort of thing I could do once per year (it is holiday after all!), so want to make the most of it.

Given that it is very easy to revert to old habits - this can be subsequently monitored via video - (new camera arrives on Friday!)

I'd be interested in hearing from some of his recent visitors whose posts I have read with interest aswell as Brian himself.

UK Guys

There are at least 2 guys who have travelled from the UK to visit Brian; John Hue and Leo Tongzilla. You should arrange a get together with one of them and you'll get an ear full; and probablly learn something new.

My lesson time with Brian (before i began to teach) on a ONE ON ONE basis is only 12hrs (two weekends over 2 years) plus maybe 1.5hrs at an Orlando Golf School.

You take those hours, combine it with A LOT of hardwork, hanging out around the forum, trying it ALLLLLLLLL out on my own and you end up getting me.

So even if this is only something you can do once per year you'll be amazed at what brian can do in that amount of time.

Thanks for replies guys - I must clarify

I don't need to know if is this is thing I need to do - it is.

What I'm trying to work out is the best way to utilise that time - for example two hours in the morning, break - hit balls for a couple of hours and then a half hour review for the next day. Repeat four times. Or something like that?

I recall it takes 2000 balls to convince your muscles you really mean it - how is that best utilised - it could take me a week to hit that many! And thinking about 6 different things doesn't easily lend itself to quick progress!

I think in a special circumstance such as your own that a video "pre-lesson" might help if that's something BM is willing to do with you. Then when you actually see him, you could at least have a few things worked out or 10 more questions about them. :)

Now THAT is a brilliant idea! Thanks.
