    practice effectively

Brian, 2 young kids and a fulltime job makes finding time to practice hard. When I do get the chance I want it to be as useful as possible. Let's say I have an hour, what would be the best way to get some useful practice in all areas, Driver, Irons, short game, and putting.

    Peter Lonard

Have been watching some of the Australian tournaments and really like Peter Lonards swing. Any TGM anaysis of his move out there? Is he a hitter? Redgoat, I would love to see his swing on your site.

    Right forearm pickup

Would strapping your upper right arm to your side and making half pickup/swing moves be a good drill/training aid to get the correct feel of right forearm pickup?

    chipping motion for full swing

Played today (32* and wind chill but sunny) and was chipping great. I was setting my hands at address, flat left and bent right and then just bringing that unit back and extending my right arm forward while maintaining flat left and bent right to chip the ball. Very crisp. Near the end of the...

    What's in the Bag?

Bit of an equipment junkie and love to know what others are using. Heres mine: Age: 36 Swing speed: Approx 105 Index: 5.8 Driver: Wishon 915CFE 9.5* 420 cc Graffaloy Blue in S. Driver vs. iron compression

Should you try and compress the ball with your driver (or a 3 wood) as much as with an iron? With the ball on a tee, I feel more of a sweeping motion as oppossed to a compression.

    Homer on putting

Got this off of the TGM site: Putting stroke -- You must go to the both arms straight position, or at least straighten the right arm. If the right arm stays bent the putt will miss to the right, a push. Arm Action Only Putting gives Maximum Alignment Control. With a completely motionless Body...

bring it to the course in 2005

I will start by saying that I do not own a copy of TGM (by my posts, shocking, I know.) However, I have learned a tremendous amount by reading BM's articles, others posts, and as well as trolling through posts on the tgm.com site. I have learned things on both of these sites that I have never...

    Winter drills

Winter and daylight savings is fast approaching here in Mass. I was wondering what people do to work on their swing in winter months (besides workout @ the gym). Brian, do you have any suggestions for indoor work? thanks.

    clarification

Can someone clarify the following point that was in Chuck's e-zine this month: "The clubshaft, actually the sweetspot of the club, may travel to any other plane angle during the swing as long as it DOES NOT cross the base of the plane." My interpretation: The base of the plane would be the...

    grip

Have always used an overlap grip, but have been experimenting with interlock as well as the "Furyk" grip which is double overlap (pinkie and ring finger over lapped.). I seem to get better lag and feel when using these grips. Brian (or Redgoat) I was wondering if you ever changed a persons grip...

    Flatten swing

I was hoping someone could give me some advice on how to flatten my swing out. Should I concentrate on turning my shoulders flatter or concentrate on swinging my armns flatter or both? If you want the reason why I want to be flatter I can go into it but trust me it has to be done. OT to Brian...

    Right forearm takeaway

Could someone provide some detail on how to use the right forearm takeway in the backswing. What does the clubhead and club shaft look like half way back, do you use the hand, does the upper arm stay close to the chest, and any other thing that could help. Thanks.

    sit down/squat move

had a lesson with video and it was very apparent that my weight is shifting outside my left leg very early on the down swing causing push/pulls. I have been trying to get in the squat/sit down position but can't seem to get it right. ANy drills suggestions on how to practive this move?
