    Driver stance width

How do you guys determine yours? I've heard the typical "shoulder width" advice given. But what does shoulder width have to do with stance width? I've also seen the advice that the stance width should be determined by hip width. This seems to make some sense, but I don't know how correct...

    Off Topic: New Orleans

Heading down next week for the SEC Tournament at the dome. I haven't been to NOLA since playing their back in college in the early 90's. Any suggestions for things to do (or not do), places to go (or not go), and most importantly, places to eat?:)

    Korda

Very cool accomplishment this morning from the LPGA's latest phenom. Her father won the '98 Australian Open in tennis, now she has the Australian Open in Golf.

    The grey area...

...the area between a proper full shot and a proper pitch shot. The area that makes scoring seem easy. My grey area is between 120 yards to 40 yards. This area used to be a warm comfortable place to be. A place free of tension and anxiety. A place were good things usually happened. Now...

    A question for the videophiles

Is there a way to connect a camera (Casio) to a laptop and have the image appear on the laptop screen in realtime? Basically to use the laptop like the camera's viewfinder. The laptop is a Mac if that matters. Thanks.

    Highest smash factor ever recorded

Saw this on The Golf Channel (of all places) this morning. Would this kind of athlete have any advantage in golf?

    The release bad for equipment?

This is the 5th ball that's split right down the middle while practicing at our indoor facility. They've all been good conditioned Callaway Tour ix balls (the black is rub-off from the netting). What else is strange is that it's only been a problem since the Atlanta tour stop.:D Can anyone...

    Some attack angle questions...

I think by now we're all aware of the cons of too negative an AA. However, I don't recall much talk about the other side of the scale. Are there cons with AA numbers in the shallow end of the pool, say 2 degrees or less? I think by now we're all aware of the '09 PGA Tour averages for AA...

    Handle dragging numbers?

From a LM perspective, are there certain numbers (or groups of numbers) that are synonymous with handle dragging? Can HD'ing be reasonably recognized/diagnosed just from looking at the numbers?

    Kettlebells?

Anyone use them or recommend them? New years and all. Off topic, anyone want to buy a treadmill?

    What is "slack"?

Is it up/down - the arms continuing on a bit after the shoulders stop turning? Is it in/out - the lead arm bending at the elbow a bit at the top? A little bit of both?

    The "stinger"

This is a quote from a teacher on how his student hits the "stinger"... “Basically you have to be able to steepen the attack angle and when you do that the sweet spot, the path of the golf club is moving out to the right so typically when guys get steep they hook it,” If the idea is to reduce...

    Betting game suggestions

Got a trip coming up in a couple weeks. There will be 4 of us, and the courses are links. All pretty much the same level, so no stroke will be given or received. Anyone have some fun suggestions for games that might be unique to your group/area?

Speed training for "high end" players?

I was talking to a PGA Tour player this week about practicing with a LM (he doesn't have one yet). He said that he primarly wants one for monitoring his AoA and his swing speed. He wants to be able to swing at 75, 80, 85mph, etc on call. Feels he controls his distances better with this...

Just took a proper BEAT DOWN!

Format: 12 six man teams. Each player plays five 9 hole matches. 7,200 yard course. Beating: My opponent closed me out on the 6th hole. I was -1. He had four 3's and two 2's.:eek:

Dang! First win after just 3 starts. What are you Euros feeding the kids over there? You guys are playing like you invented the game or something. :) We've got a few instructors over here that we could export to help balance things out a bit.
