Hey folks,

I haven't posted a swing in forever and this is the first time I've seen it on video since this spring.....so I figured what the heck.

My misses are typically a push or a push/fade. I swing a lot more left than I used to (hooked a lot). For the most part I hit it where I'm lookin.

I'm hitting driver and 6 iron here. Each was struck ok w/ a little cut (most controllable shot for me).

I'm really surprised with how "undynamic" my pivot looks. There is no conscious effort to "lean left" or any of that type of pattern. I'll leave it at that for now.....

I'm sure the instructors will comment in further detail and with solutions rather than observations.

My observation is that you are not driving through to your left heel. Look at your right foot, and right leg position at the finish. Your lower body didn't initiate the parade. It went along for the ride, and never got to the end.

Nice Swing

Good looking swing. Keep an eye on ball position, your push fade miss could be simply caused by playing the ball too far back in your stance on both woods and irons...this could also explain your concern over how dynamic you pivot is..I like your pivot, its tidy...however--if you wanted pivot more aggressively the ball position may need to creep forward just a bit.

Your pivot looks "undynamic" to me because you aren't using your lower body or legs on the backswing at all. If you don't "pull back" you will have a harder time with the "run up" before the "jump".

I like it, but I think you could hit it farther without sacrificing control by using your lower body a little more. I'm not informed enough to go into much detail, but I'd say that you look more athletic than your swing does.

Thanks for the comments. It's always intriguing (and humbling!) to look at your swing on video.

Regarding ball position, it's clearly too far back and is one of those things I'll have to keep on eye on. Simple, but important not to overlook.

Regarding more active lower body participation, I couldn't agree more. The fear I have is that I hit it pretty straight with this pattern and have "good misses." I'm not a short hitter by any means but no long drive champ either.

Just need to find a way to get there incorporating elements of this pattern. Easier said than done.....

Only because I'm working on it am I noticing that you could probably turn back a bit more at the end of the BS. The thought that works for me is to "show your back to the target." It both slows me down and gives me a bigger turn.

If you were only hitting 80-90* swings, forget my comment!!

Nice tight swing. As others and you say, I too think there is a lot more distance to be had with your swing. Keeping all things the same on the backswing, just try to straighten your left knee a little more on the backswing which allows the hips to turn a little more. From there you should still be able to do your downswing and follow through pivot, which if you do it at the speed you are doing now will increase your swing speed.
