I tried accessing your website no luck how much do they go for and can you ship/post them overseas??
Would adding layers of grip tape to the shaft to "sort of mimic" the effects of the PBS (before putting the grip on) now make it an illegal grip in tournament play?
I suppose it could sort of minic it! Why minic it when you could have it! www.pureballstriker.com
One could put anything back there if they wanted to do so.
It could be illegal for competition.
If its IN your grip, on all your clubs, you don't have to put on the PBS and take it off with each club.
I'm a tinkerer, and ADHD, so just gives me something else to focus on temporarily.
Jeff, glad to see you are here at Manzella land too.
I don't usually talk to much about training devices. I've got a closet full of them and just about all of them resulted in wasted money. I ordered the PBS and got my it yesterday. Got to take it to the range today. I FINALLY FOUND THE #3 Pressure point. Not only did I find it, I felt it. What a difference. I could actually feel the club against my #3 and look down and see that I was actually maintaining the angle all the way down almost to impact. After reviewing 4 or 5 videos and countless forum posts I now understand what all the talk was about.
Jeff that little simple device you made actually works. I imagine if you had gum in foil, cigarette butts, or anything else you could mimic the device. That is if you figure out how to do it and where exactly to place it. The little PBS device is simple and it takes all the guess work out. Better yet it's height makes sure there is no question as to where the pressure point is.
One thing I found, by keeping the pressure on #3 it was easy to swing smooth. A loaded #3 just seemed to guide the club face to the ball. With pressure against it, it was hard to throw away the club and race toward the ball. Anyway, I'm happy with this little training aid and even happier actually finding the #3 power point and its role.
Thanks for your help!
Don
where do they come up with these prices? $20 for something you could make yourself for $1?
The Pure Ball Striker is brilliant as it translates mechanics to feel. Just as Homer suggested. PBS helps ANYONE who uses it to FEEL lag pressure. Also, it helps maintain the two other imperatives, the flat left wrist and straight plane line.
It is not what it costs but what it does. Do you know how many hours of teaching, research and experimentation is behind the Pure Ball Striker? There is science behind the PBS that is why it works. Anyone who thinks that TGM is not real science can not see TRUTH!
Hackers squawk at spending 20 bucks for an aid that helps build a better swing but will pay $300 for a Taylor Made "draw" driver that keeps you mired in hackerville!
Also, I challenge you to make ONE for a dollar!
Hi Jeff, do you ship to the UK and if so how do i go about that?
Warm regards
Matt S
This product is very good for those looking to feel this "point that RECEIVES pressure."
Truth is, flawed science or not, there is pressure PUT on this side of the shaft. Period.
I've purchased the PBS and it does everything as advertised. In 2 minutes I had one of my best friends whom I had worked with for years, feel lag for the first time and imediately his ball striking improved dramatically. My main reason in posting is to tell you that Jeff Evans is truly a great guy. He has literally spent hours with me explaining concepts and trying to help my swing over the phone. In a world that is truly outcome/results oriented, I recognize that "does the damn thing work?" is the primary consideration. Well, it does!! and it's also nice to support a true gentleman who invented the product. Brian is very much cut from the same cloth and he has personally tried to help me over the phone and has been very patient with my questions. There really is something to southern hospitality...

I see there is a training device to train TGM pressure point #3. What I talk about in the hammer swing DVD about the grip you will always feel pressure point #3. Put the grip pressure in the thumbs and index fingers. I also have invented and patented a new swing trainer for Rover Golf. It is a 3D plane trainer that trains the correct 3 dimension of the swing. Again it blows a small hole in TGM book. I also saw big holes in TGM book at the TGM summit this last year. I do support TGM book as it has a lot of useful information for every golfer but there needs to be changes in the book due to new information. Videos would help golfers understand the book as well. I wish the owner of TGM would focus on this. I know other TGM instructors have. Keep up the good work Brian. I will keep you posted on the release of the 3D plane trainer.
