4 symptoms...are they related?

Golfers,

Symptom 1:
Historically, I was very much underplane. After months of trying I have made great improvements at getting on plane on takeaway and downswing...However, my follow-through appear to be too steep.

Symptom 2:
At the finish, my hands finish in front of the body, the club shaft pointing to left of target, the club face to to the sky and the right wrist cocked (i.e. bent back )? It is almost the opposite of the left wrist rollover.

Symptom 3;
During follow through, My right arm feels like I am delivering an uppercut. This lead me to have a revisit the swing /hitter concept on another thread. Thanks for your input on that discussion.

Symptom 4:
Whilst practising today, i hit some 50% power 7-irons...just letting the club drop...swinging as easy as I could...and I'll be damned if my follow through and finish were nearly as long and as high as my 100% efforts and much flatter..and a whole lot more fluid, free flowing and dynamic as well.

Are these connected...what's going on here? What should I work on?

Yes!

Have you ever seen Never Hook Again 2?

Geoff, I second the NHA2 recommendation. I watched it a few weeks ago (and a few times since) and it has changed my swing very much for the better.

I had been fighting a hook/push (with a flat swing) for a couple of years and like you made some changes on my own to try to counter it. The problem with this was that it was hard to determine what pieces fit or didn't fit between those two swing types.

Check out the NHA2 pattern, it will likely fill in some gaps for you.

NHA2 downloaded. I have not had a chance to look at it properly yet...but I think the phrase 'up the wall, down to the wall, away from the wall' explains some of the links between my symptoms.

I am about to go shopping to find me one of those shiny green shirts.

NHA2 is the best golf instruction video I have ever seen and I am a golf-a-holic with every video and book I could collect over the last 35 or so years of golfing.
Hands down the best!
