Ringer, in regular golf terms can you describe what you are feeling. I like tgm but to lazy to learn the terminolgy, TIM

I Feel as if I am keeping my right elbow ahead of the club and it reaches impact first. I have translated this into a new feeling of simultaneously pushing the club away from me (to keep the width) and pulling the club around the path lenthwise instead of around my body.

Ringer,

Congratulations on finding an obviously sound stroke pattern, whatever it is in TGM terms. You don't label yourself, BUT, there are only two ways to move a club - with a side force on the handle or a pulling along the shaft. You MUST do one or the other, there is no alternative. So you are "labelable", even though you don't do it.

The fact that you are equally efficient with either arm alone, means that you might be equally proficient at Swinging and Hitting, OR that you can Swing equally well with either hand. Couple's teacher, Paul Marchand, prescribes left arm only and right arm only drills as part of Fred's swing maintenance routine.

Is it not possible to PULL the club halfway, and PUSH the rest? Or vice versa? ;)

No it isn't possible. That's what Homer basically discovered about attempts at 4 barrel swinging. Hence my earlier comments. What is feeling like strong thrust is probably you dragging the club strongly down plane.

Ringer,

If you initially pull, the moment you push against the shaft, you have preempted centrifugal force. If you start with a pushing motion, you have straightened the right elbow and lost #2 accum(left wrist cock). If you somehow then pull the shaft lengthwise, you simply have a pure pull with #2 partial throwaway. The last thing you do overrides what was previously done - it's not additive.

But that was not how a swinger or hitter was classified. Whether one pre-empts the other. I am also not saying this is what I do... but merely offering it as a possiblity.

Personally, I feel as if my arms are ONE STRUCTURE. Stresses may act more upon one part than the other, but no particular aspect of the structure is being activated over the other.
