I bought one of those strips off Ebay. While it's a fantastic surface to hit from, you have to make sure your stance platform is 1.5" tall to match the height of the strip. And find a way to keep that strip from moving when you take your "divot."

Yeah that's why I was thinking perhaps an insert rather than a strip would be a better idea.The insert would not move around and you would only replace the insert rather than the entire matt.

If you buy a 4x4 mat you can wear out 4 sides before it is finished. Much easier than buying replacement strips.
