Why a lagging club travelling on a "turning shoulder plane" can meet the ball at the sweet spot at impact, yet the club is middlely addressed on an "elbow plane"?
Plane shift would be my guess. You can setup on any plane you want and reach any one of the top of the backswing planes with any number of compensataions.
