anybody use one of these?

I've got one and it is nice to check speed - esp when trying new things in your swing more "legs", more turn etc. But placement is crucial to be accurate - otherwise it can get the ball leaving and you think you've morphed into Godzilla.

Thanks for the advice...

Interesting....

Hi GBD,,

Looks OK for the money, but I'd prefer this one purely for the carry distance feedback, which I think would be more helpful than knowing your swing speed and would transfer to your on-course game better......

A bit more dosh, but, what the hell. You can spend more than that on a putter...:) (May find ir cheaper elsewhere if you shop around)..

When you think of how many people bash balls on ranges and get litle feedback other than direction... it may not be bad investment... most ranges it is hard to tell whether it was 155 or 170 yards....

Not sure if this measures the flight ( i doubt it at such reasonable price) or just meansures ball speed and computes the rest...in which case wind could make distance unreliable...

Since we're talking about gadgets for distance- I got a yardage scope a few years ago and have loved it. After Dave Pelz talked about how you need to know the exact yardage when you're practicing. Or when you go to a different course and have no idea about the yardage. - So - I always use this on the range- takes just a couple of seconds to see how far the markers really are and how far or not far you are hitting it.
