CQ hasn't demonstrated any deeper knowledge than what he teaches. Most golf instructors are ignorant to anything that is outside what they teach. Chuck has 3 patterns: a pivot controlled Hardy offshoot pattern, a "2 plane" pattern, and his newest one "rotary hitter" (I wonder where he got that idea from!) Beyond these 3 patterns, I haven't seen him dissect any other patterns.
I don't say any of this to disrespect what CQ teaches, but what he teaches isn't on the same level with what is taught here.
I am a certified golf stroke whore. I will try any pattern for 3 weeks. BM's patterns have given me better results than anything I have previously tried.
I wonder if this makes it past the cutting room floor?

Meaningless? some people here only want take, take and take, by the time when he didn't get what he want, or differ than what he believe, they just simply criticize, criticize, and criticize, your lousy post speak for itself, out of bounce. While Manzella ball is dissecting fairway.
if my post is lousy yours is even worse, it don't make sense, you haven't been able to come up with a good counter argument to what i have said. "Manzella ball is disecting fairway"? is english your first language?
It depends what you look at and define as a reverse weight shift. Played with Moe twice and never saw evidence of a reverse. His swing reminded me of the proper application of force efficiently used in his swing. Another way to apply force efficiently through human dynamics that are flawed. Revisit the clinic he gave at Craig S.'s place where he calls which side of the 250 yard sign he will hit because a heckler dares him to do it. No reverse in that swing. Moe hit it great and keep an open mind. Best of luck to you because you make many great points in this forum. Keep them coming!!

is the single shift the same shift that players, for example, stadler and irwin, use? the one that to the untrained eye, looks like its inside, then up, then "over the top"? the inside movement of the clubhead at takeaway makes the swing appear over the top, when it is really coming down tsp?
I saw Palmer in the 60's. He could really hit the ball. Tremendous charisma, more than TW, etc. Too bad he wasn't younger than Nicklaus rather than the other way around. It would have been a lot closer, IMO.
Confirmation on plane angles - Parallax my friends
Brian, Thanks Again for your great Lesson, I was very excited when you read my reply!
I think this concept/subject of the Plane Angles, you sum it up very simple, actually in 1 word - Parallax (last year I also read about this on this forum, may I add one of the few places that gives you the right info)
last year I did a little experiment with 2 video cameras,
I put the 1st down the line - Target line,
2nd down the line - bodyline,
both the same height - elbow line,
well the comparison on my v1 wasn't surprising, the
perspective on Plane angles lines on the same swing, from 2 differents angles/spots definitely changed.
Next experiment I put 1st camera down the line - hands line but knee height,
the 2nd camera on the same down the line - hands line but chest height, well no surprise there either, same swing different result on Plane Angles view.
So, drawing lines on 2 dimensional screen...it's a little inaccurate specially when we talking about the Plane lines angles.
I had a month last year of tinkering with plane shifts from address to impact, I try to swing like garcia... it was crazccyyy (Nacho Libre) which worked a few shots on the range but of course on the course I had a few duck hooks and I got back to my natural swing very fast...very fast, and of course I didn't know too much about plane shifts so that didn't help...
Brian, is it posibble to post a swing in 3D on this forum to see the planes of the swing in the REAL WORLD?
Ok I don't want to make nobody sleepy so I'll make it short...
Last month I stopped working and worry about my shaft angle, and if manzella says it's a turn shoulder plane let it be(let it be let it be you know the the song),
I focus now on much more important things - my Pivot, CLUBFACE! and Tracing a Straight Plane line, and brian wrote about this:
"Actually, the only thing relevant in the REAL WORLD of helping golfers—as far a this info goes—is the fact the the PATH vs. CLUBFACE is ALL THAT MATTERS in creating "ball flight.
Plane angles and Plane Anlge shift are MEANS TO AN END, not the end in themselves."
It was a reply for ClubCaster,

Brian's Reply -
"A golfer came to me this week from south Florida. He had a reverse pivot, funny knee and foot action, a great looking backswing from the down the line view, lots of throwaway, and a chicken wing finish.
And he was a good golfer, who has shot in the 70's a bunch.
So, we worked on his lower body first, then his backswing Pivot, then his downswing Pivot, then his plane LINE, then his swivel.
He hit is so much better you wouldn't believe.
Plane ANGLE shifts?
Way down the line."
Brian, "cow cow", it's a saying/dialect in Israel, it means if you have somethings to do you do it one thing after another not altogether (like Rome wasn't built in one day stuff) so you can reach and fix every person one each time, it might take a while but you'll get them...
Thanks again (with a slight bow like you do...it was funny)
