Considering the amount of ulnar deviating the lead wrist has to do in the downswing, "driving/holding" a "bowed wrist" "to and through impact" could be problematic.

During one of my experimental phases with "holding a square, delofted clubface" I ended up with some pretty nasty tendinitis that took about a week to subside.

I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about though.

I got a lesson from a well known teacher who had me do a drill that made me "dump the force" into the ball by uncocking and bowing post impact. It felt so bad I couldn't believe it, but I tried anyway for awhile. My wrist hurt too much to keep going that direction, never mind how bad I hit it.
