Have to try the tree

Not sure if I understand fully but I will try that one.

I never had a blocking problem with the drill but did tend to take heavier (deeper) divots with irons after doing it.

Left foot

Having a problem with the left foot. If I keep my heel on the ground how does the left foot come into play? I think I start with my left knee? Is that a problem?

Knee

I keep my left foot down on the backswing too. I think some will say starting with the feet is the way to go. For me it feels like I start with moving my left hip to the left but realistically, my weight is probably moving left prior to that feeling. I would guess my knees are moving left first.

I think keeping your left foot down is great (recommended by Joe Dante in his books). For me it increases my stability (reduces sway).

For me one problem with GOLF has been what is really happening versus what it feels like is happening. Your left knees moving left is probably a precursor to left hip moving left too. Move from the ground up (sounds fine to me).

I know Brian will have some thoughts on this which will be far more profound than mine.......

Roll is OK, isn't it

I always thought roll was OK but lifting was a no no. I lost some weight this last year (thank you Atkins) and I can now turn back fully without lifting at all but I probably roll in my shoe a bit.

Brian.....you wouldn't call it a frill?

I mean....I GUESS (lol- Jack, Bobby Jones) you can play some good golf with it....

Why not just make a shorter swing tho?
