Just some final sound-offs on the Canadian Open
Felt Sorry for Mike Weir. It was tough to watch potential winning putts slip by. He handled the situation quite well. And he will be back to try again, count on it.
As for my feelings on the Canadian Open's place on the Prime Event Roster, I refer you to this link--
The REAL WORLD GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS - Prior to 1999
It doesn't say it on the page, but if it were my call, both the Canadian and Western Opens would offer a 3-year exemption and enhanced World Ranking points. Each event would also offer a $6 million purse, and entry into each event would not count against a non-PGA Tour Member's annual allowed allotment.
