Below Plane Syndrome Questions

2 questions. Going through some older post and analyzing my misses, I think I have a case of BSP. Would all of the below be symptoms?

1. Fat shots - from pitches to long irons
2. Misses both left and right - hooks and blocks
3. Bad case of the pushes, especially with the driver

I read a long thread in which Kevin Shields explained a lot of his problems with BPS, saying look at both SD and NHA. That being said, Would SD backswing coupled with carry and swinging down the yellow brick road be the swing thought I'm looking for?

Trying to understand

I am really trying to beat this. So a reverse tumble can also get you under plane, correct? I tried some twist away at the range and hit seemed to help a lot. Does the twist-away help you tumble? Is that in the neighborhood of what might be going on?

I fought this on the range today. Found that trying to make my divots point to the left really helped. We'll see if that lasts.....

Band aid vs. Long lasting fix

After seeing your swing, dont mean to be a downer but I would think its prob a band-aid and wont last.

So what would be the band-aid ideas vs. Fixing the root causes of BPS? Lord knows I want to get out of this once and for all.

Rats! I saw that Kevin wrote the following back in December 2008:

"To use that [aim left] as a fix, you must have the rotary capability to carry #4 accumulator (left arm across chest) past the ball well left. I dont have that ability."

Per the above, maybe Kevin thinks that the permanent cure for me will be to get my downswing left arm more vertical. I dunno.

I have no clue how to put this question without TGM terms but if a player under rotates with a poor pivot and overloads PA 4 doesn't it make it very hard to shift the left arm out enough and get the plane line out to the left for a iron shot? Does this predispose one to have to drop it under because the club is so far behind the body?

Hmmm, I know I just mentioned this in another thread, but a 'one last point' finish might also be a help to steepen things.
