Ben Doyle's tape

Ben Doyle's tape is the best tape I have seen related to the golf swing. He covers all 24 components, power packages and loading procedures. No other tape comes close in terms of the number of demonstrations swings that are done. He demonstrates the swing from different angles.

The progression he shows works from chipping, punch shot, pitch shots to full swing shots.

The quality of the video image isn't the greatest, but I bought the tape for the information it provides. The tape isn't cheap, but I found the money well spent. There tape will stay in my library permanently.

Each time you watch it, you learn something new.

In terms of the full swing, Ben's approach is swinging. I haven't seen Chuck Evans tapes, but I heard he might cover differences between hitting and swinging.

Very good ball striker. Interesting explanation
Overall, it kind of reminds me of Moe Norman. Not his golf swing, but his speaking. This isn't meant to be an insult, but it seems like he's a deep thinker and his words don't seem to come out as well as he'd like.
I hope that he one day makes a professional-film quality video. I think I have film industry friends that could help.

As far as Chuck Evans, I haven't seen his tape. But if he's a hitter, it would be interesting to compare. Anybody?

There is definately a market for Ben to produce a more polished version of his video. A friend of mine watched it and asked me if Ben had had a stroke as the words did not seem to come out right. It is not polished like one of those Leadbetter videos but the content is there and he can demonstrate what he is talking about. The video grows on you the more you watch it and every time you watch it you see something new. It is full of information and you can see that he is a genuine guy that really knows what he is on about and loves golf and teaching golf. It is the best instruction video that I have seen. If he makes a professional film quality video and gets his marketing right the video will be The best selling golf instruction video of all time. For those who are really interested in golf his delivery and the home movie feel will cause no problems but a better production would be more suited to sell to the masses . I think if Brian and Ben were to do quality production it would sell really well and help promote TGM. I wish I had had this tape years ago. It would have saved me a ton of wasted effort and heartache.

I would love to be able to explain Ben to all of you.

Ben LIKES that fact that the video is "low quality".

He wants it to be all about the MESSAGE.

As for me....video WILL be out before Christmas.

Brian: I understand that both yourself and Ben Doyle have a preference to teach the classic swing as opposed to hitting methods. Since TGM deals with all types of strokes . Why is that? If you get a hitter student of a high standard do you try and change him into a classic swinger?

Brian, Do me a favor and make it closed captioned. We are not all 'hearing capable' golfers. :D

Brian: There is a guy on the FGI forum called dastallion who called you and said that you were going to take over golf, watch out. Is this video going to be the start of your world domination campaign? Is it going to be a masterpiece a true consummate piece of workmanship? Tell us about it.

Brian: What other TGM tapes do you recomend? Have you seen the Bobby Schaeffer tapes? Does Mike Hebron do a video?

One question, do any of you know if Ben charges more than the $100 for the tape if being purchased outside of the US for increased postage.
