James S Rothenberg: The Skeptical Golfer
I read somewhere that my "Matrix" must have been a copy of something else.
Give me a break.
All the Matrix is--in its SIMPLIST form--is the Never Hook Again pattern on one side, Never Slice Again on the other and a Standard Pattern like in "Do It Right" in the middle.
A copy?
Nah, It was just something I figured out to EXPLAIN how I taught.
It will be the VISUALLY BEST book ever written, and one that will be so simple, It will be copied by many.
The Manzella Short Game Matrix is close to ready for a video. It will be part of the book as well.
2008?
Who knows?
As busy as I am, and this site is, it is tought to finish projects. We hope to start our new house in New Orleans very soon, and that is surely a big project as well.
Mike,
Can you tell us what you like about the book? I see that it's quite new.
Is anyone familiar with the second book? It's by Steen Winther. Thanks,
gumper
The Scientific Truth of the Golf Swing by Steven Winther
Paperback, $15.95, less than 100 pages.
I would say that overall the book is average as far as golf books go. It certainly falls short of it's title if one is looking for a scientific research paper or a book that provides technical information, diagrams and references. The author does a good job on disspelling some of the myths in golf, chapter 10.
There are between the paragraphs some golden nuggets. Some thoughts that most golfers if they used would see improvement in their games. These range from course management to your golf stroke. I am not sure many readers will pick up on these gems as most are not the main point of the chapter but just some supporting data.
The actual instruction, well it overall is okay, but the style I don't believe is something that most golfers can read and apply. But how the instruction addresses the golf stroke is something that would benefit many golfers to do with what they currently our doing.
For general information, the book is worth a read, it is short and fairly easy to read. For detailed golf instruction, look elsewhere as this book may be a disappointment for those seeking that type of information.
ThinkinGolfer.com is the site and it is still being constructed.
Recommendation - I don't believe I will be re-reading it in the near future.
